PRODUCTION WORKERS

We are actively recruiting candidates at our manufacturing facility in Debert, NS.

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Job Summary:  We are looking for a skilled Human Resources professional who is interested in growing with our growing company to be responsible for ensuring that our Human Resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives.

Job Duties:

  • Act as HR resource to employees and management in the areas of benefits, employee relations, learning & development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Be an ambassador for the company’s vision and values, via appropriate communications and integration into HR programs as well as help create a positive work environment to support the management team.
  • Respond to employee/management requests for information on a timely basis.
  • Update and track changes to the employee handbook and maintain and further develop policies and procedures.
  • Provide HR support to Management at the North Bay and Edmonton locations, and develop, implement, and maintain consistent HR policies and best practices company wide.
  • Provide coaching and counsel to managers regarding performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Support administration of benefits and Worker’s Compensation.
  • Oversee and support all phases of the recruitment and selection process.

  • Administer Attendance Management process.

  • Manage HR audits and surveys.

Qualifications: 

  • University degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Superior organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to positively communicate with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently, organize work and manage time effectively to accomplish objectives in accordance with expectations.
  • Knowledge of Nova Scotia/Ontario/Alberta employment and legislation and Health & Safety laws.
  • Experience in group benefit and pension plan administration would be an asset.

  • Report on progress of specific goals and objectives and monitor activities of the customer service representatives while providing leadership. This includes communicating the corporate vision and core values while living the Kohltech brand.
  • Support the service coordinators and field service technicians with day-to-day business processes, communication, and problem resolution.
  • Review service anomalies and initiate preventative actions where appropriate.
  • Able to motivate staff to meet corporate objectives, keep informed of changes, determine goals, and assign responsibility.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about product lines.
  • Communicate with production and management personnel as required to meet company objectives and customer needs.
  • Responsible for hiring and developing customer and warranty service team members.

Qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Commerce or equivalent.
  • Experience in the building supply industry is considered an asset.

Job Duties:

  • Manage updates and content across Kohltech websites, including SEO improvements.
  • Analyze digital data across websites and social platforms.
  • Develop, distribute, and inventory sales samples, promotional items, and displays.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of all marketing materials. Includes photography, video, copywriting, and layout.
  • Event planning and execution for tradeshows, dealer training and other events.
  • Compile research and organize data to inform marketing briefs and product positioning.

Qualifications:

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (Edmonton)

Job Summary: Our Customer Service Representatives are the first point of contact with our customers. The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for responding to dealer inquiries and ensuring the highest level of customer service.

Responsibilities: 

  • Promptly and professionally respond to customer telephone, fax and e-mail inquiries and provide friendly and helpful service at all times.
  • Maintain exemplary service to existing customer base.
  • Provide quotations for products to dealers and customers.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge with respect to product line.
  • Proactive resolution of specific customer-related issues.
  • Communicate with production and management personnel as required to meet company objectives and customer needs.
  • Administrative duties such as data entry and maintaining accurate files.

Qualifications:

SHIPPER (Edmonton)

Job Summary: Perform duties related to shipping finished product: packaging, loading trucks, building wood crates, help with customer pick ups. Employees are responsible to integrate themselves into our team environment and culture. We are looking for an employee with proven hands on experience from a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate is energetic, motivated with a positive attitude and willing to invest what it takes to grow with our company.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift 50-75lbs consistently throughout the day.
  • Go out for site deliveries as delivery driver assistant.
