PRODUCTION WORKERS
We are actively recruiting candidates at our manufacturing facility in Debert, NS.
Our ideal production worker candidate is comfortable working with hand tools, is able to read a tape measure and understands the importance of producing a quality product. They must also have an excellent work ethic and attitude and contribute to a positive, friendly and safe work environment.

Shipper – NOC 14400 (Dayshift and Nightshift hours – Debert, NS)
Job Summary: The Shipper will be responsible for the coordinating and loading of custom windows according to customer specifications and routing details. Key Responsibilities: Order Preparation and Packing- Inspect, measure, and prepare finished windows and parts for shipment.
- Wrap glass and windows according to customer requests.
- Safely package windows to prevent damage during transit.
- Label items clearly with shipping details and customer information.
- Follow schedules for shipments with carriers or company trucks.
- Create and verify shipping documents such as bills of lading and packing lists.
- Communicate shipping timelines to the production and sales teams.
- Inspect outgoing products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Report and document any damage or discrepancies before shipment.
- Track and manage stock levels of packaging materials and shipping supplies.
- Update inventory systems with shipping and receiving data.
- Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other tools to load and unload shipments safely.
- Ensure proper maintenance and storage of shipping equipment.
- Use of hand tools for building wooden crates for replacement glass and glass being sent to other Kohltech facilities.
- Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and ensure safe handling of materials.
- Follow company policies and industry standards for shipping and handling.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations (preferably in manufacturing).
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and work orders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and shipping software.
- Forklift experience would be an asset.
- The position involves working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and various materials.
- Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
- Occasional overtime or shift work may be required based on production needs.

Human Resources Generalist
Job Summary: We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist who is interested in joining our fast-growing production operation in Debert, Nova Scotia. The HR Professional will guide employees through human resource procedures, answer questions about organizational policies, benefits, training, employee relations and assist with recruitment, assist in the coordination of the training activities and the safety program.
Job Duties:
- Be an ambassador for the company’s vision and values and help create a positive work environment to support the management team.
- Respond to employee/management requests for information on a timely basis.
- Provide coaching and counsel to managers regarding performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Administration of temporary foreign worker programs.
- Onboard and hire.
- Support administration of benefits and Worker’s Compensation.
- Oversee and support all phases of the recruitment and selection process.
- Support the organization to attract, motivate and retain a high performing workforce.
- Coordinate the employee orientation program.
- Assist the administration of the Attendance Management process.
- Assist the leadership team with the Annual Performance Review process
- Assist with employee communication, events, and social committee fundraising.
- Attend and assist with the preparation of the minutes for the Shop Council and Safety meetings.
Qualifications:
- University business degree with an HR major or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Knowledge of and experience in the administration of temporary foreign worker programs.
- Solid computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Superior organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to positively communicate with people at all levels of the organization.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently, organize work and manage time effectively to accomplish objectives in accordance with expectations.
- Knowledge of Nova Scotia employment and legislation and Health & Safety laws.
